The experience I had at Barnes Wendling was unlike any of my other internships. From the first day I started, I was given challenging work that was on the same level as staff and senior accountants. The clients I worked on were very diverse; one day I might have been working on a simple 1040, the next day I could have been working on a complex corporate return. I even had the opportunity to interact with clients, and helped explain certain aspects of their tax returns to them. I was also excited to come to work because of the people I worked with. Everyone in the office was very helpful and responsive to all of my questions throughout the internship. Overall, I felt the experience was a tremendous success, and looking back, was a very accurate representation of what a full-time position would entail.
