The IRS announced recently it will begin accepting 2017 tax returns on Monday, Jan. 29, 2018 due to the recent passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Though this is later than usual, this is not the first time the federal tax season has been delayed.

If you need an extension or help filing your taxes before the acceptance date, please contact a Barnes Wendling tax advisor to start preparing your filing now and submit it at the proper time for you.
