Administrative Assistant | Tax Processor | Sheffield Village, OH

Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of Barnes Wendling CPAs each day, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity, and ethics.
- Maintain confidentiality as required by state and federal regulations.
- Maintain and update client documentation accurately and as appropriate.
- Manage Electronic Records in accordance with company policy and state and federal regulations.
- Process tax returns, prepare letters, proof work, and scan documents to the client as needed.
- Effectively communicate Barnes Wendling CPAs information to clients and appropriate employees.
- Provide general office administration and oversight, including ensuring maintenance of office equipment, maintaining inventory of needed office supplies, ensuring cleanliness and organization of waiting, coffee, and snack areas, where applicable.
- Exhibit positivity, flexibility, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree in accounting preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience working in accounting or other business field.
- Experience working with Microsoft products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to type approximately 50 WPM, with experience in numerical and alphabetical data entry.
- Results driven and detail-/deadline-oriented.
- Proficient with accounting/tax software, CCH Tax, and Axcess a plus.
- A commitment to client service with an elevated level of professionalism and effective communication.
