Administrative Assistant | Tax Processor | Sheffield Village, OH

 Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of Barnes Wendling CPAs each day, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity, and ethics.
  • Maintain confidentiality as required by state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain and update client documentation accurately and as appropriate.
  • Manage Electronic Records in accordance with company policy and state and federal regulations.
  • Process tax returns, prepare letters, proof work, and scan documents to the client as needed.
  • Effectively communicate Barnes Wendling CPAs information to clients and appropriate employees.
  • Provide general office administration and oversight, including ensuring maintenance of office equipment, maintaining inventory of needed office supplies, ensuring cleanliness and organization of waiting, coffee, and snack areas, where applicable.
  • Exhibit positivity, flexibility, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree in accounting preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience working in accounting or other business field.
  • Experience working with Microsoft products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to type approximately 50 WPM, with experience in numerical and alphabetical data entry.
  • Results driven and detail-/deadline-oriented.
  • Proficient with accounting/tax software, CCH Tax, and Axcess a plus.
  • A commitment to client service with an elevated level of professionalism and effective communication.
