Tournament Update

Monday, april 7

Highlights: The Florida Gators earned the school's first Championship title since 2007 after defeating the Houston Cougars 65-63. A few days after Florida's comeback win against Duke, the Gators erased a 12-point deficit in the second half to beat the Cougars. Alijah Martin hit two free throws, followed by Denzel Aberdeen scoring his second free throw to secure the Gators' victory.

Highlights: The Florida Gators defeated the Auburn Tigers 79-73. The Gators' Walter Clayton Jr. drove Florida's comeback to defeat Auburn, scoring 34 total points and making two final free throws to secure the Gators' victory.

The Houston Cougars beat the Duke Blue Devils 70-67. Houston's comeback win to advance to the Championship came after Joseph Tugler made a 6-foot tip layup shot and J'Wan Roberts and L.J. Cryer hit two free throws each.

Highlights: Houston defeated Tennessee 69-50, advancing the Cougars to their seventh Final Four. Auburn beat Michigan 70-64, and for only the second time in history, there are all 1 seeds in the Final Four.

Highlights: The Florida Gators secured a win over the Texas Tech Raiders in the last few minutes of the game, with the Gators defeating the Raiders 84-79. The Duke Blue Devils beat the Alabama Crimson Tide 85-65, with Blue Devils’ top scorer, Kon Knueppel, scoring 21 total points.

friday, March 28

Highlights: Michigan State beat Ole Miss 73-70 in a down-to-the-wire win to advance the Spartans to the Elite 8 for the first time since 2019. Tennessee is headed to the Elite 8 for the second consecutive year after the Volunteers’ 78-65 win over the Kentucky Wildcats. The Auburn Tigers took down the Michigan Wolverines 78-65, advancing the Tigers to the Elite 8 for the third time. Houston’s Milos Uzan scored a last-second, game-winning shot against Purdue, with the Cougars defeating the Boilermakers 62-60.

Highlights: Alabama defeated BYU 113-88, sending the Crimson Tide to their second straight Elite 8. The Florida Gators beat the Maryland Terrapins 87-71, advancing Florida to the Elite 8 for the tenth time in the school’s history. Duke defeated Arizona 100-93, with the Blue Devils’ top scorer, Caleb Love, scoring 35 points. The Texas Tech Red Raiders beat the Arkansas Razorbacks 85-83 in an overtime win, with Darrion Williams making the final layup to secure the Red Raiders’ victory.

Maryland’s Derik Queen made a 10-foot jumper along the left baseline to secure a 72-71 win against Colorado State. The Arizona Wildcats beat the Oregon Ducks 87-83 with top scorer Caleb Love scoring 29 points.

Drake beat Missouri for the Bulldogs’ second NCAA win since 1971. With St. John’s win over Omaha, the Red Storm has a chance to make it back to the semifinals for the first time since 1985.
